Fu Shou Shan Oolong Tea also known as “Lucky Mountain Oolong” is grown on the former summer estate of Chiang Kai Shek. It is called Fu Shou Shan Farm (Lucky Life Mountain Farm). The house is surrounded by fruit trees and has a spectacular view of the surrounding mountains. This tea is characterized by its thick leaves and its sweet, fragrant taste. Known as the “King of Teas”. Fu Shou Shan Oolong has a rich, fruity aroma and a smooth, sweet flavor with a hint of nuttiness that is not found in other Taiwan teas. The tea is often described as having a delicate and refreshing taste, with notes of fresh flowers, honey, and fruit. Overall, Fu Shou Shan Oolong is considered to be a well-balanced and satisfying tea, with a complex and flavorful profile. Its high price is due to its superior quality. It is produced in limited quantities with just two harvests per year.
BREWING INSTRUCTION:
1. After heating the teapot, put about one-fifth of the tea leaves into the pot.
2. Pour boiling water at 212°F into the teapot, then immediately pour it out.
3. Steep the tea for about 50-60 seconds for the second and third steep, and about 1.5 minutes for the fourth to sixth steep. The steeping time can be adjusted according to personal preference, and the tea can be steeped multiple times continuously.
4. The best materials for teaware are clay and ceramics.
5. Water with mineral water or purified water is preferred.
STORAGE METHOD:
1. Store the tea leaves in a cool, dry place, avoiding high temperature and humidity or direct sunlight.
2. Do not let the tea leaves come into contact with moist items.
