Pear ‘Li’ Mountain area is in both the Jade Mountain Range and Da Yu Ling Range. Li Shan is a resort area famous for its peach, apple, pear & tea orchards. The area’s very high altitude is native to Taiwan’s primitive forests. This tea grows even in snow with great variations between morning and evening temperatures. During spring and summer the mountains are coverd with fog. The growing season is short, producing a thicker leaf. It is grown from ‘Soft Branch’ tea tree cultivar known its original Taiwan tea botanists as No. 17.
